Getting to Know NetPicks: Mike Rykse

What are you currently trading?

The main market I trade is the 10 Year U.S. Treasury Note which I trade on an active basis using the 144 tick chart. I also trade the Russell 2000 emini futures contract using the 292 share bar chart. Swing trading stocks using options is the third part of my trade plan. I take my entries off both the 195 minute and daily charts.

And where are you from?

I am from Kalamazoo, Michigan which is a small town 2.5 hours from Chicago. I still reside there to this day.

So why did you become a trader?

I started trading in 2002 during my freshman year of college. While studying business, I decided to do a research project on the stock market. From that point on, I have been addicted to the financial markets. I love working with numbers and I enjoy the new challenges that trading brings every day.

And how did you hook up with NetPicks?

I started working for NetPicks during the summer of 2008. I was a longtime member of the NetPicks trading systems and was really excited to be asked to come on board to help train new members. I really enjoy the interaction with fellow traders. The community of traders is one of the best features of working for NetPicks. When I first started trading, I was fortunate to have a few experienced traders walk alongside me to help me become a successful trader. It was a goal of mine early on to someday provide that help to other traders. NetPicks gives me the opportunity to do just that every day.

How many other courses, strategies, etc. did you try before finding your current method?

I tried numerous other trading systems before finding the SST. I spent thousands of dollars searching for a system that would produce consistent results. The SST is the one of the few systems that I have used that has given me the results I am looking for.
