What are the indicators?
The UMTs indicators are made up of: Trend lines (not moving averages), the Directional Indicator, and the MACD Indicator.
Are the trend lines based on EAs?
No, nothing we use in our trading plan involves EAs.
How long has the UMT strategy been around? Tested? Backtested?
The UMT has been in use in dozens of markets, in real-time for 2+ years. In addition, it uses dynamic targets, stops and entry points and therefore is very adaptive to a variety of market conditions including choppy markets and trending markets. The UMT owner can also look at past data and determine if the market and timeframe they are considering has been productive in the past.
Does your strategy use moving averages?
No. The UMT indicators are all proprietary, powerful and quite effective but do not use common indicators.
What is the UMT’s winning edge?
This can vary of course by market but one of our mantras with the UMT is “Two-Thirds/One-Third” meaning we want to be right 60%+ of the time. We know our average gain is clearly higher than our average loss and if we can get 60%, 65%, 70%, etc. then we know we have a strategy that is going to be very effective on that market and timeframe. If a market/timeframe doesn’t satisfy that “Two-Thirds/One-Third” we’ll move onto one that does. There are many more that will than any one trader will ever be able to trade so the opportunity is limitless in this area.
Is the UMT automated (EA)?
No, the UMT is a comprehensive system not an EA.

How do I know what market I should trade?
This is a good question for your trading coach to review with you. Everyone has different goals, capital funding, and timeframes that they can trade. Your coach can help you determine what market is best for you based on these and several other factors.
Do you adjust timeframes?
Markets change over time and one of the most powerful facets of the UMT is the fact that it can change timeframes dynamically and have targets, stops and entries for that specific timeframe without any additional effort on your part. If a market gets very volatile, it only takes a few keystrokes to adjust the timeframe that is best suited to current market conditions and as markets cycle, you can always adjust without having to figure out what the ideal targets and entry points should be as you change timeframes.
How do you know what the targets should be?
By the differential of the trend lines, top and bottom trend line, distance between trend lines, it’s done for you with the system.
What is the minimum capital required?
Every market requires different capital requirements and different risks. You need to know your risk ratio for the market you’re trading. Discuss this with your trading coach.
What tick charts do you use for forex?
There is no single answer for this question. It is best to discuss this with your trading coach.
Is the target always higher than the risk?
Yes, we always recommend that you risk no more than 1-3% for any trade in any market.
Can you trail?
Yes, we do go over trailing strategies in our training. Unlike many systems, we always have an exact profit target, and that profit target is always lower than our risk. However, in the situations where you may want to let your trade “run” we do have strategies that you can utilize to assist you with trailing for much larger gains on occasion.

What trading platform is the UMT compatible on?
Trade Station, Ninja Trader, Meta Trader, and eSignal
v Are there audio alerts in NinjaTrader?
Yes, we have audio alerts for all 4 platforms that we are compatible with.
Are you Think or Swim compatible?
Not at this time.
Which of the 4 trading platforms does your system work best?
We recommend the platforms in this order: TradeStation, eSignal, Ninja Trader, and Meta Trader. This is the order in which we rollout any new features and updates to the system.
Our number one recommendation is TradeStation for many reasons. The bulk of our members use this platform; the way the charting works is superior to other platforms (visuals, setups, etc.); they allow for 3 months worth of tick data; and finally it’s a developed platform in which is continuously upgraded. Metatrader is a fine system, but you’re limited. They don’t provide tic charts or 20 minute charts.
What version do you recommend for TradeStation?
8.3 version, we’d rather not be a beta tester for TradeStation.
Are you able to run the system on a demo acct?
Yes, you can. We have several members who start out running on a Meta Trader demo acct to learn.
Can you run indicators off of more than one computer?
Yes, the UMT license is an individual license, so as long as the computer is license to you, you are able to run the indicators on multiple computers.
Do you support Trade Station 2000i?
No, we do not.
Can you register for multiple platforms?
Yes, you can register for multiple platforms and for multiple accounts on any given platform. The current system allows for all at the same time if you’d like.
Who do you use to get your data feed for forex?
We use and recommend eSignal’s data feed.
Does Ninja Trader have tick charts?
Yes.
I use eSignal, what is a share bar?
It may also be called the Volume Bar.
Should I use a specific broker?
This is something to discuss with your trading coach. We can make recommendations based on the market you are trading and your capital requirements.
I use interactive brokers? Would I have to purchase Trade Station to use your system?
No. You are not limited to using any specific broker.
